UK-WHO growth charts - 2-18 years

These charts are based on WHO Child Growth Standards, which describe the optimal growth for healthy, breastfed children. They are used to assess the growth of school age children and young people in primary or secondary care, and include guidance on the onset and progression of puberty, a BMI centile lookup, an adult height predictor and a mid parental height comparator.

The growth of most children less than four years of age should be plotted on the more detailed 0-4 years chart.

Children who have been plotted on the NICM chart up to two years of age can transfer straight onto this 2-18 chart.

You can download charts below or see how to order paper charts. You can also explore our digital growth charts, which calculate centiles and integrate with electronic patient records.
