It is common for parents and carers to seek advice when their child has a fever (high temperature). This study explored the views of 220 parents and carers and their experiences of services used for treating symptoms of a fever. The report presents the findings of this study and key recommendations arising from these findings.
The study was conducted in 2009, and the report and a short version for parents and carers published in 2010.
The study was funded and commissioned by the Department of Health. It was conducted by ¹ú²ú×ÔÅÄ, Royal College of General Practitioners, College of Emergency Medicine, NHS Direct, Joint Royal Colleges Ambulance Liaison Committee, University of Leicester and University of Nottingham.
